Coconut oil
This is the latest rage for wrinkles and for a number of different types of skin problems as well. This has become a well-known natural oil that people are consuming internally and applying on their skin. Simply warm up the coconut oil, apply it to your face and then gently rinse it off before putting on your makeup. After a couple of weeks take a fresh new look at your face in the mirror and see if there have been any changes. Don’t be afraid to cook with this oil either or use it in your favorite salads. It’s a wonder food that can enhance your skin and body in a variety of different ways.
Bananas
Make a banana mash and mix it up with yogurt to apply as the skin mask for anywhere from 15 to 20 minutes. Apply this mask once a week as a fantastic anti-wrinkle cream.
Pineapple
There’s a lot of vitamin C in pineapple that acts as an antioxidant on the skin. Simply apply the flesh of the pineapple to your face and let it sit there for approximately 20 minutes. You’ll feel a difference in your skin once you have rinsed it off with cold or warm water.
Egg whites
Drop an egg white into a bowl without the yoke and stir it up. Apply the white to your face and you’ll instantly feel your skin starts to tighten up. As it is tightening the retinol in the egg is being absorbed into the cell membranes along with vitamin E. This is a great home remedy for wrinkles that should be used at least once a month to maintain healthy facial skin.
Lemon juice
Lemon juice will help to reduce the wrinkled appearance of your skin. As an added bonus, you’ll notice that your skin looks more radiant and brighter once it has received a simple splash of lemon juice. Splash it on, rinse it off and you’re good to go.
Honey
Look for unpasteurized honey that has never been heated up. This contains a special kind of enzymes that can be lost through heat processing. These enzymes are great for your skin! Rub some honey onto problem wrinkle areas and leave it there for about half an hour. Rinse with warm water and make sure that you get all of the honey off. As an extra anti-wrinkle ingredient, add a bit of tomato juice to the mix!
Cucumbers
You’ve probably seen pictures of women sitting in a spa with circles of cucumbers around their eyes. These are actually used in practice and you can do this at home yourself. Cucumbers will hydrate the skin naturally and are one of the best natural remedies for wrinkles that you can find. Apply cucumber slices to any part of the facial area to help remove wrinkles and to refresh and soften the skin.
Aloe Vera plant
If you don’t already have one of these plants growing in your house, you should get one soon. They are easy to find and often available in a local grocery store. Aloe Vera can help fight stubborn creases and lines and will leave your skin feeling wonderfully refreshed. Simply pull off a leaf from the plant and squeeze out some of the naturally forming gel. This can be put on your face directly and rinsed off after about 20 minutes. There is no use in spending money on expensive aloe Vera treatments when you can have the plant in your home. As you pull the leaves off the plant, more will grow more back naturally!
Get enough sleep
The most important thing that you can do to reduce the appearance of your wrinkles is to get enough sleep every night. When you get at least 7 to 8 hours of sleep, your skin will glow naturally instead of having a pale, tired look to it. The more radiant your skin looks due to eating right, having enough sleep and taking care of yourself through proper exercise, the less visible the wrinkles will be. As an added precaution, try not to sleep on your face to avoid the dreaded “pillow wrinkles” that can leave a negative impression on your face for the day!
